They say that a picture paints a thousand words – and when can that old phrase be more true than on your wedding day? That’s the premise behind WedPics, a great app that offers brides and grooms the opportunity to host all of their wedding pictures in one place (including the hundreds of pictures often taken by guests at weddings), download them and even print them if they wish.  

Since it was founded only a few years ago, more than 2.2 million couples and guests have used the service, with many reporting that its simplicity, excellent customer service, straightforward app and additional features helped to make their weddings extra special and with almost all of those who have used it recommending it to friends and others online. WedPics users can set up their individual wedding app using their own colours and themes, so that it looks and feels bespoke to their event.

Once up and running, users can share their app with family, friends and other guests and use it to circulate information in advance of their wedding day and capture and store images and videos from each of the events in the run up to their wedding. This means that your engagement party, bachelor and bachelorette parties, reception, ceremony and everything in between can have a dedicated album on your app, so that your guests can contribute photos to your in-app digital album. Your photos are stored on WedPics for life, meaning you can be sure that your images won’t be lost if your hard-drive crashes (or another similar IT-disaster occurs!)

Your WedPics app also opens up access to a number of additional features, such as “guest list” (where you can manage your guest list, invite or remove guests and see who has registered); “registries” (which allows you to link your gift registries to your app to make it easier for your guests to purchase the perfect gift) and “accomodations” (which gives your guests information about places to stay near your venue). While these features are good additions, it’s fair to say that this isn’t the main focus of WedPics and as such, you will find these features done better with other services. 

While WedPics isn’t a full wedding website service, what it does offer is a simple, beautiful depository for all of your wedding snaps (taken by you and your guests) and a range of other features that you and your guests will love, so it’s definitely worth checking out. What’s more, WedPics is free to use (although if you order prints of your pictures, there is an additional charge), so it’s a great option if you’re on a tight budget.
