MomentVille offers two very tempting packages:
- Free Wedding Website which has most of the core features (listed above) necessary for a good looking wedding website (with almost 90 designs to choose from);
- Premium Wedding Website which has all these features and 6 more, including:
Ad-free for you, Password Protection, Private RSVPs, Page View Stats, 10 times as much photo storage and a one-off payment of just $35.
The key thing with the free wedding website are the (a) lack of Password Projection, (b) the lack of Private RSPVs (i.e.
RSVP responses from guests willbe shown on the website for other guests to see)
and (c) the presence of adverts. We would recommend that you opt for the premium wedding website with its heightened security. The Premium package is good value for money, costing just $35 (per lifetime!).
There are some drawbacks to the site however, including:
- If you want your own domain name (of the form "www.***.com" rather than "www.momentville.com/***" you must purchase it and set up the domain forwarding on your own, MomentVille do not currently offer help through their site.
- You cannot give editing privileges to other users either - so you and your fiancé(e) must share a single username if you both want to edit the site.
- At present there is no way to upload multiple files at once.
So although MomentVille does offer lots of good features, it has several shortcomings. Thus, we suggest you check out our top ranking sites instead as they offer a range of excellent planning and design features.
