OurWeddingDay.com is a wedding site that is part of the David’s Bridal group, one of the largest retailers of wedding clothing and accessories in the USA and a famous stalwart of the wedding industry.  OurWeddingDay is one of the best US-centric wedding websites and offers users access to a wide collection of wedding planning tools, absolutely free of charge.

While this site is unlikely to be useful if you’re planning a wedding outside of the USA (check out other services in our top ten in this category if that is the case), US users will find a whole host of great features that take the stress out of organizing a wedding. As with some other services we have reviewed (such as The Knot, for example), OurWeddingDay.com does offer website building tools but this is very much not the site’s main offering – users will find the planning tools, information and inspiration to be of greater value at this site.

One of the best elements of OurWeddingDay is the comprehensive set of online planning tools that will help to streamline every item on your wedding planning checklist. Firstly, users can check out a comprehensive list of local vendors providing everything from wedding dresses to flowers, cakes and transport, together with user reviews, to make planning the individual elements of their weddings a bit easier.

Once you have the basics sorted, you can enjoy creating personalized save the date cards and setting up your wedding website.  Users can keep track of their wedding guests, their address details, their RSVP status and any specific requirements they have using the Guestlist and Address Book features.  

A couple of features of OurWeddingDay deserve specific mention. Firstly, we loved the “Wedding Planning 101” section, which gives brides and grooms access to a huge depository of advice and articles on a range of topics including traditions, etiquette, fashion and more. If you can’t find the answer to your question, you can ask “Brideline” and chat to wedding experts about what they would do in your situation.

The second feature to mention is the collection of great community tools that connects users bring them together. A number of active blogs, forums and message boards give the site a real community feel which we think is a little lacking at other sites, making using OurWeddingDay a social experience too.
