Wedding Spot is a great site that aims to take the stress out of organizing your wedding. Primarily focused in the UK, the site also offers customers tools and supplier lists to help organize weddings in many European countries (including France and Italy, which are ever popular) and in other more far-flung destinations, such as Mexico and Brazil.

Fundamentally, Wedding Spot has three key features: a wedding directory, to connect users with suppliers and vendors in their chosen location; a set of wedding planning tools including guest lists and seating plans; and finally a great wedding website offering that allows users to create their own site to share the details of their wedding with their guests. As Wedding Spot is free to join and use, it’s a great alternative to some of the other sites we have reviewed in this category, especially if your budget is tight. 

The wedding directory is perhaps Wedding Spot’s most important feature, bringing together brides and grooms with suppliers, venues and vendors who are able to make their dreams for their big day a reality. In the UK alone, users of Wedding Spot can connect with almost 9,000 suppliers (filtered by hundreds of individual locations), while elsewhere, some locations have as many as 20,000 suppliers listed. This makes it super easy to find a chocolate fountain in Hampshire or an ice sculpture in Yorkshire, or indeed, whatever it is that you’re looking for to make your special day, well, special. 

The planning tools are also great – users can access their own online planner (including sections such as “to do list”, “table plan”, “guest list” and more) as well as some cracking budgeting tools and organizational tools (including a great address book that keeps the names, addresses and details of your guests and suppliers in one place – a lifesaver for last minute crises).

It doesn’t end there - Wedding Spot’s “Wedding Tips” will help give you some inspiration when your imagination fails you and the Wedding Spot App (available at the Apple App Store and through Google Play) means that all of the great features of the site are available anywhere, anytime.  Finally, users of Wedding Spot can also create their own wedding website to share information with guests, collect RSVPs and share photos before, during and after your big day.
