I have given Wedding Wire low scores to get their attention. It is a great site to find many names and numbers for vendors. It is easy navigate, etc. However, I am very disappointed with their failure to take a known scammer off their site. My daughter hired a videographer she found on Wedding Wire, Trae Smith of 728 Film and Photo, who had glowing reviews under that business name. However, he had previously advertised under Viral Media. If you go to that site on Wedding Wire you will see the reviews that my daughter should seen. They are scathing and there was even a news report done on Trae Smith and his scams in Florida. He is now working the Colorado route and scamming brides here. When my daughter wrote her scathing review for 728 Film and Photo, Wedding Wire, as it should, asked for documentation to prove she hired him. We do not disagree with this practice. However, I am very curious to know if they ask for documentation for positive reviews. My bet is that those glowing reviews for 728 were all made up. In any case, there are numerous references on the Viral Media Wedding Wire site, including in our review, to the fact that Viral Media and 728 are the same perpetrator. I do not know why Wedding Wire would allow him to continue to advertise on their site. I would be happy to talk to Wedding Wire about this and rewrite or delete this review if satisfied with their response.
In summary, I would not recommend Wedding Wire to a friend.
