We used the hotel booking service. We were charged double the negotiated rate per night and The Knot would not communicate with us nor fix the problem. They kept the extra $ and would not refund the portion that was their error!
They do not communicate and do not resolve problems!
Don’t give them your hard earned $
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.

Don’t do it. Can’t stress it enough. They’re a terrible company to work with and ignored several attempts on my end to communicate an issue. I was ignored for weeks by them as a paying customer because they didn’t have a solution to the problem and refused to negotiate refunding me or ceasing payments.
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.

I am annoyed that I selected The Knot for our wedding website. The Knot is very boastful in the way they describe this service. I have found the process of using their Wedding Website feature to be very frustrating. There are so many glitches and the functionality of creating pages is extremely limited. Most of the time the site does not load correctly and I have to constantly hit refresh just to get the site to load. The RSVP feature is severely lacking on common sense features as is the process of creating and editing pages. I can't wait until my wedding is over so I don't have to use this crappy service any longer.
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.

We had a great experience with St. Ignace Greenhouse florist. The delivery was prompt and the with all smiles. From the beginning of the order I knew the wedding bouquet we ordered was going to be
most precious and delicate . They are amazing. I kept them. The bouquet was made of summer dahlias and white roses. What a glorious day... Thank you..

I am a small local entertainer. I went to theknot.com to advertise my company to try to bring in more wedding clients. They told me that their advertisers receive on average, 10-20 contacts from brides per month which would be awesome for me!
I signed the contract and went to work! I built my page, hours of time, but it ends up, any person who would be interested in seeing my page would have to click through at least 12 different links before they found me! I couldn't even find myself on the website without calling them for help!
In the end I hit financial crisis about 4 months into the year contract. I called them and told them that I was having severe difficulties and asked for a solution to get out of the contract early. I offered a settlement so they would receive at least some of the contracted amount.
Their response was cold and heartless. They were completely inflexible. Finally I told them to go F themselves. Even after that they continued running my add whether I wanted them to or not! And they continued billing me whether... (Read the full review)

BE CAREFUL, they have an automatic sign up at the end of your contract if you don't give them notice to cancel. Sneaky and dishonest way to hook you into another year of pretty ineffective advertising.
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.

Hi, I am a celebrant and have been advertising with The Knot since September this year.
I have been receiving quite a few enquiries from prospective brides but have had no luck with any of them responding to my replies once I have emailed them a little bit of information about me and my services.
I am starting to think there is something not right here and would like to hear from other celebrants if they have been experiencing the same problem.

It seems like this is an ongoing issue. I ordered bubbles for my best friend's weddings. I wanted it to be surprise and have everyone blow bubbles as her and her husband walked back up the aisle. I paid the extra shipping since I needed them 5 days from the date I placed the order. I was given the confirmation email and figured it wouldn't need to double check my order since this is such a well known site, I was mistaken. Once I found out that I would be getting them after the wedding I asked if they would cancel my order and refund the money. The woman I spoke to on the phone said they would refund the amount of the bubbles but not the shipping. I didn't think that was right. I spoke to her supervisor, Debbie, and she said that they are not responsible for refunding the shipping. Nowhere on the site can I find proof that they do not refund shipping. I have basically been called a liar many times through my trails of emails and on the phone. To top it off I have now been told I am going... (Read the full review)

Ordered a gift on there for my wedding party, which arrived almost a week late. I opted not to pay for overnight or two day shipping on this item for $40 or $30 respectively, as the regular shipping rate was already $10. 5 business days after making the purchase is when the purchase was PROCESSED by theknot.com. Meaning, they didn't even bother to send the item for 5 days, then I had to wait another 5 days for the item to get across the country. Normally, unless a website states otherwise, I expect to receive an item with regular shipping in about 5 days, this item instead took 15 business days to arrive after my order! Would never order from them again.
The pros for this site? They are partially free to use, though they rip you off at every corner if you try to buy anything from them.
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.

I'm embarrassed to admit it now, but we used The Knot for our wedding more than five years ago. During that time, though I stayed away from the board entitled "Bitchy Brides" (description: These brides hold nothing back and tell it like it is), the women there frequently borrowed content from my postings on another community board and many others to make fun of the couples, degrade the photographs and would often photo-shop them into something obscene. Then they began targeting a few of us for special attention, following us from board to board, being threatening and vile. The fact that these were GROWN WOMEN was especially troubling.
The moderators either did nothing or turned a blind eye to it. The Knot itself refused to get involved and moderate their own boards until the harassment turned real. Seems someone at the board turned into quite the detective and using various clues from my postings and other information, began calling various venues in our area pretending to be someone from our bridal party--then bragged about having done so on the boards.
