After using TheKnot.com for many years with no issue, I was personally attacked by a few of the bloggers over an innocent post made about my vow renewal. I was called names, judged, told to do outrages things like "get a divorce" and all out harrassed. One of the offenders was the moderator, who threatened to ban me from the blog. Not only did she threaten me, but she supported the other women's behavior.
I had no better luck on the TheNest. Normally TheKnot.com is very prompt in answering customer service email except this time. No one has contacted me about either one of my emails; 1. address the personal attacks and 2. cancel my accounts.
In addition to the harrassment, some of the countrols do not work well. It took me multiple tries to copy and paste my ticker, upload photos and update MyBio. Last, the service is very slow.
I still expect good service even when it is free. It is sad the a once decent website is now littered with poor patrons. I do not intend to recommend the use of this site to a soul. I'm so embarrassed I ever used it.
In summary, I would not recommend The Knot to a friend.
