Editor's Verdict:

FirstPhera.com is a wedding website designed for Indian couples around the world to create websites that are tailored to their culture.  It successfully combines a website design feature with a number of other useful sections to cover most of your wedding needs online.  However, it does slightly let itself down in the planning tools department, and for this reason, FirstPhera just failed to make it into our Top 10.

There is a small but impressive collection of template designs available for use when designing your personal wedding website.  The collection includes traditional Indian themes, modern designs and some more unique creations such as the 'Taj Mahal' theme.  There is also the option to go for a custom site, and then choose the color-scheme yourself.  The flash intros you can add to your site are very tasteful, and merge seamlessly with the actual website.

As well as the personal wedding website, FirstPhera contains both a Wedding Guide and a shop.  The Wedding Guide is particularly useful, containing information in topics such as 'Honeymoon', 'Beauty' and 'Astrology'.  You can find out which are the auspicious dates for your wedding, or work out the most appropriate venue.  Many couples can feel overwhelmed by the amount of planning that needs to be done and the information to digest - the Wedding Guide simply and clearly teaches you everything you need to know.  The shop, although it may not be the final destination for all your wedding-related shopping, will certainly help to give you some ideas about what you want to put on your gift registry and what you might need to buy yourself before the big day.

In terms of planning tools, FirstPhera offers the customary online RSVP function, and there is a To-do list, which you may find useful.  However, above and beyond this, there is very little.  The makers say that they are working on more features in this area and we look forward to seeing what they come up with. However, until then, FirstPhera just cannot match the very best of the competition.  

FirstPhera.com is a good option for Indian couples who are looking for a website that specifically caters to their cultural requirements and traditions.  Couples interested in having a wedding website that particularly caters for the Indian wedding market, may also like to check out WebVivah.com.  Both websites have different strengths and weaknesses that may suit different couples' desires and needs.
